Update on Diane Stevenson 12/17/2013

Well, Diane has successfully completed her cancer breast treatments and her prognosis is good. She started radiation at the end of October and finished the week after Thanksgiving. Although not as difficult as the chemo therapy, it was uncomfortable near the end. She was fitted to an implement to radiate her upper right chest and over the weeks it took its toll with deep dark red burns that looked like second degree burns near the last seven treatments. But we actually got a respite the week of Thanksgiving as the radiologist gave her that week to recover and resume two last treatments.

She is now in a much better frame of mind and encouraged as we enter the Christmas season. The only thing we have need of is a job for me. We are believing God to help us as I have been out job hunting the whole time for a position as a web developer. Several irons are in the fire but as of yet, nothing has firmed up. Being three months behind on bills is very difficult around the holidays, but we have resolved to not do the typical things we usually do and be frugal.
Please continue to pray for that job. I have put in applications at Kohls, Kmart, Walmart, Family Video, Speedway and other areas to just get by. Nothing yet.
We so appreciate ALittleBirdie.org for the ministry we have received and we want to tell you we are humbled to have been on the receiving end of your generosity. We know this great organization is a conduit for so many needs and I have followed them all, whether good news or sad. All must receive prayer from us all. I have always been quick to pray for others' needs, but this year has been revealing to how much so many are going through.
So, this will be our last post. We want to thank you so much for sharing this journey our family has been through. A year ago, we were downcast at the uncertainty of our lives. This year, right now, we are hopeful. God bless you and Merry Christmas, with wishes for a happy new year.
On Behalf of the Stevenson Family,

Mark Stevenson

The Stevenson Family is from Canton Ohio. Mark and Diane have four grown children. Recently Mark found himself unemployed and got the news that Diane has breast cancer. It has been hard on the family, but they are staying very positive. As you can imagine the medical bills are starting to come in and the pressures of not having an income to help cover those costs are becoming a burden. We are asking for donations of any amount to go towards the medical costs they foresee in the near future.
