A race for a van, a gift of freedom
Aaron - a courageous young man and his fight with Muscular Dystrophy
The story you are about to read is about a young man named Aaron. He has a form of Muscular Dystrophy. You may think that would slow him down, but Aaron is full life and enjoys many things. He loves cars. He helped design the upgrades on the Miata he is sitting on in the picture below. His dad and brothers fixed the car up and now it is a low level race car. With it being a convertible we can pick him up in a lift and drop him in it, thus being the only regular car he can ride in. He loves it.
Otherwise, Aaron is a very soft-spoken, 21 year old guy. He listens a lot, and thinks more about life and things then you would ever imagine. He also has a very political mind, and he values freedom deeply. Aaron loves dogs, and has two: Thea and Pippen. Video games were one of his favorite hobbies- especially car racing ones. That was until he found graphic design. Now he alters pictures, creates art, and designs logos all the time.
Beyond this he has great knowledge of automobiles, loves hanging out with his brothers and friends from church, and cracking jokes. He takes his limitations in stride, and never complains. He is a tough guy.

DMD is no fun, and Aaron is proof that good things can come out of the most difficult of circumstances.
Our goal in fundraising is to raise enough money to get him a brand new van, so that in 4 or 5 years we don't have to try to get him another one. He is completely wheelchair bound. The van that the family uses to transport him to school and doctor's appointments has been deemed unsafe. Unfortunately it costs up to $30,000+ to get a good used replacement van. The family is on a very limited income and is not able to just go out and purchase one. Without a van, he will become house bound and will have to drop out of school. He is currently studying graphic design. It also, would be the first new car he has ever had, and it would blow him away with excitement. This van could be his personal super car.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know Aaron and a little bit about who he is. He does have a need of a new van and thank you to all who are willing to give to this cause!
